Requisition ID: 70398 Job Description Skyworks' Broadcast Division is focused on creating solutions (hardware and firmware) for analog and digital broadcast radio reception products. The Role: We are looking for a proactive,detail-oriented,hands-on,results-driven Lead Principal Firmware Engineer who is passionate about making our customers successful,welcomes challenges with enthusiasm and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment,to become an integral part of our Broadcast team. The Principal Firmware Engineer will play a key role working with internal and external stakeholders to define,develop,test,and support all Skyworks' Broadcast radio products necessary for customer integrations. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work closely with firmware,applications,hardware,marketing,and customer teams on multiple projects to:</li> <li>Understand,partition and document features,specifications,and dependencies</li> <li>Define and develop flexible and scalable firmware architectures and internal and external APIs</li> <li>Design and develop broadcast radio firmware elements,including features,infrastructure components,and interfaces</li> <li>Work with teams on system integration,resource management,performance evaluation,testing,debugging,deployment,and customer support</li> <li>Peer code reviewing</li> <li>Leads and Mentor junior engineers</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>BS or MS or PhD in CS/EE and 15+ years of hands-on embedded firmware MCU development</li> <li>Demonstrated track record of delivering successful embedded software projects</li> </ul> Background in one or more of the following areas is required: <ul> <li>Strong embedded firmware development in C/C++</li> <li>Firmware architecture and product,specification,development,and validation</li> <li>Scripting languages,e.g.,Python,TCL or similar</li> <li>Responsive,self-driven,with strong sense of ownership</li> <li>Exceptional communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels</li> </ul> Background in one or more of the following areas is a plus: <ul> <li>RTOS development/integration</li> <li>Continuous integration development and deployment (CI/CD)</li> <li>Analog and/or digital broadcast radio system development,including signal processing and communications</li> <li>Concepts of radio broadcast technologies used in DAB/DAB+,DMB,DRM,and CDR systems,such as:</li> <li>Audio encoding,decoding and general audio processing</li> </ul> #LI-DD1 The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $122,000 - $231,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills,training and education,business needs,market demands,the ultimate job duties and requirements,and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option),a 401(k) plan and company match,an employee stock purchase plan,paid time off (including vacation,sick/wellness,parental leave),among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan,and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards,including recognition and stock.
